It is a very exciting time for HIP! We have a LOT of exciting projects started and even more planned. We're forming partnerships, launching our website, planning volunteer Weed Wrangles, coordinating Strike Team workdays, developing resources, creating educational resources like signage and boot brush stations and so much more.  Take a moment to review our February meeting notes and the content in this newsletter then join us for a committee or monthly meeting. Indiana Native Plant Society Central Chapter Webinar
Native Plantings in INDOT'S Roadside Management Program
February 16th, on Zoom at 7 p.m.
Learn how Indiana Department of Transportation strives to manage their roadsides to introduce native plants and control invasive and noxious weeds, all while maintaining expected levels of safety and aesthetic appeal. Matt Krauchar, a Specialist in Indiana Department of Transportation’s Roadside Management Program, will provide a virtual, (approx) 40 minute presentation of their work followed by time for Q & A. Woodland Stewards Webinar Series: Safety Tips for Working in your Woods
Feb 16th at 1pm eastern
While working outside has many benefits for your personal health, including clean air and exercise, there are a few things to do to keep yourself safe from itchy-bitey-pokey things out there.
