Strike Team Workday at Dillon Park in Noblesville
November 20th, 9am-12pm

Join the Hamilton County Master Gardeners and Hamilton County Invasive Species Partnership (HIP) Strike Team at Dillon Park! We will be targeting woody species including Asian bush honeysuckle and burning bush. All participants are REQUIRED to complete a virtual safety training prior to the event that will take around 20 minutes to complete. A link to the training platform will be emailed to you after registration. More info and registrations available here

GIS and Invasive Species in Hamilton County

Invasive Species Trade In

This fall the Hamilton County Invasives Partnership and Hamilton County Soil and Water Conservation District are offering a invasive species trade in program.  For a limited time and as supplies last, property owners can show proof of removal of an invasive species on their Hamilton County property and receive one 5 gallon native species specimen for FREE! 

 

Another Strike Team Success -- Macgregor Park

The HIP strike team held a work day at Macgregor Park in Westfield on 10/23. The HIP Strike Team is a group led by experienced volunteers and/or SWCD staff volunteers who provide technical support and labor to remove invasive species at partner sites. Education Station
Stephanie Schuck, the new Executive Director of SICIM, joined us for the November meeting and introduced herself during the education station. Stephanie gave us a summary of SICIM's current efforts and vision for future work. You can read more about Stephanie in the SICIM announcement here.   Welcome Stephanie!

 

Next HIP Meeting - December 1st at 6pm
HIP general meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month, alternating between noon and six pm.  Register for the online meeting link here

Education Committee
The ed committee is meeting IN PERSON on November 17th at 12pm in the Annex on the 4-H Fairgrounds in Noblesville. This meeting will be used for 2022 goal setting. Please email Claire if you plan to attend. Please feel free to arrive at 11:30 with your lunch to have lunch and social time before getting down to business!

Meets on the 2nd Wednesday
of the month at 2:30.

Technical Committee Meeting  
The tech committee will meet on Wednesday November 10th at 2:30 to plan for 2022.
